Air Fryer Chicken Wings

Delicious Air Fryer Chicken Wings

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds (about 1 kg) chicken wings, split at the joint and wingtips removed
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika (smoked or regular)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: your favorite wing sauce (Buffalo, BBQ, Teriyaki, etc.)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the chicken wings with the olive oil, ensuring that each wing is evenly coated.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Sprinkle this seasoning mixture over the chicken wings, tossing them to ensure even coverage.
  4. Arrange the seasoned chicken wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not touching each other. Depending on the size of your air fryer, you may need to cook the wings in batches.
  5. Cook the chicken wings at 400°F (200°C) for 20-25 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time to ensure even cooking.
  6. Check the internal temperature of the wings with a meat thermometer. The wings are done when they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  7. If desired, toss the cooked wings in your favorite wing sauce or serve the sauce on the side for dipping.
  8. Plate your air fryer chicken wings with your choice of sides, such as celery sticks, carrot sticks, or blue cheese dressing, and enjoy!
